Questions
Is the sample homepage really free?
Yes. I'll design a sample homepage for your business and email it to you. It costs nothing and you're under no obligation to buy. If it's not for you, that's fine.
Why is it only £199?
I keep things simple and my costs low, so the build is a one-off £199 for everyone. (The examples on this site are concept designs for made-up businesses, not clients.) You still get a proper custom site, not a template.
What does the £19.99 a month cover?
Hosting, HTTPS (the padlock), security checks and updates, and small changes: up to about 30 minutes of edits a month, like new prices, opening hours, photos or a seasonal offer. Bigger jobs, like a new page, I'll always price up first so there are no surprises.
Is there a contract? What if I want to leave?
There's no long contract. If you want to stop, just let me know. Your domain (for example yourbusiness.co.uk) is registered in your name and stays yours, and I'll help you move your website somewhere else if you'd like to keep it running.
Who owns the domain and the content?
Your domain is registered in your name, so it's yours. Your words, photos and logo are yours too.
Do I need to write anything or have photos?
No. We have a quick chat (or you answer a few simple questions) and I write the text for you to check. Photos from a decent phone work well, and if you don't have a logo, I'll set your business name in a clean, simple style.
Will it show up on Google?
I set it up properly for Google (clear page titles and descriptions, fast loading, works well on phones) and help you set up your free Google Business Profile, which is what shows on Google Maps. Nobody can honestly promise the top spot, but you'll be set up to be found.
What if I need more than 3 pages, or a shop?
Just ask. I'll give you a clear, fixed quote up front before any work starts.
Who will I be dealing with?
Me, Connor, from start to finish. When you email, it's me who replies. Most things are sorted by email so you can reply when it suits you.
